Crash Cam Films (CCF) Safety & Privacy Policy

Last Updated: 14/3/25

At Crash Cam Films (CCF), the safety and privacy of our participants, families, and partners are our top priorities. We are committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable environment for all young filmmakers. This policy outlines our approach to participant safety, data privacy, and content usage.

1. Participant Safety

CCF prioritizes the safety and well-being of all workshop participants. We implement the following measures:

  • Child-Safe Environment: All workshops are led by experienced facilitators who have undergone relevant background checks (e.g., Police Checks) and hold a current Working with Vulnerable People Card.

  • Supervised Activities: Participants are supervised at all times during workshops to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment.

  • Safe Filming Practices: We teach and enforce best practices for on-set safety, ensuring all activities are age-appropriate and risk-aware.

  • Emergency Procedures: Clear protocols are in place for first aid, emergency situations, and contacting guardians if needed.

2. Privacy & Data Protection

We respect the privacy of our participants and their families. Our data collection and usage practices include:

  • Personal Information: We collect minimal personal information (e.g., names, contact details) only for the purpose of workshop registration and communication. This information is securely stored and not shared with third parties.

  • Photography & Filming: We may capture photos and videos during workshops for promotional and educational purposes. We obtain consent from parents/guardians before using any images or footage featuring minors.

  • Online Safety: We do not publish full names, contact details, or other identifiable information of young participants in any publicly accessible media.

  • Parental Control: Parents/guardians have the right to request the removal of any images or videos featuring their child from our public platforms.

3. Content Rights & Usage

CCF workshops focus on hands-on filmmaking, and every participant walks away with a completed project. Our approach to content ownership is as follows:

  • Collaborative Creation: Films produced in our workshops are a collective effort. While participants contribute creatively, CCF retains the right to share and showcase workshop films as part of our educational and promotional materials.

  • Non-Commercial Use: Workshop films may be featured on our website, social media, and promotional materials but will not be sold or commercially exploited without additional agreements.

  • Respect for Creative Work: We encourage participants to share their work responsibly and acknowledge all contributors when posting online.

4. Code of Conduct

To ensure a positive experience for all participants, we enforce a respectful and inclusive code of conduct:

  • Respect & Inclusion: We foster a welcoming environment where all participants, regardless of background or ability, are treated with respect.

  • Anti-Bullying Policy: Harassment, discrimination, or bullying of any kind will not be tolerated in our workshops or online spaces.

  • Digital Responsibility: Participants are encouraged to use social media responsibly and to respect the privacy of their peers.
